About two hours using public transportation from the center of Tokyo.
I visited the azalea sightseeing “Shiofune Kannon-ji Temple”.
Since there are many important cultural assets that must be watched in addition to azaleas, it is also recommended for old building lovers.

1. I visited the Shiofune Kannon-ji Temple in the azalea season
Let’s take a look at the building including the important cultural property before the azalea ♪
1-1.Important cultural asset of the country! The main gate of a Buddhist temple (Nio-mon)
It was less than 10 minutes on foot from the bus stop and I reached the main gate of a Buddhist temple (Nio-mon).
I saw colorful “purple × green × yellow × red × white” cloths in Shiofune Kannon-ji Temple.
Is it a trademark of the Shiofune Kannon-ji Temple?
There are blue in banner-flags
It is “Amida-do” that you can see in the back.
The stone tower before “Amida-do” had a heart mark, it was a lovely.
1-2.The main hall (Kannon-do) is also an important cultural property of the country
Proceeding to the back, there are big Japanese cedar, a natural monument.
You will go through a Shime-nawa(sacred shrine rope).
First of all, You will clean your hands and mouth in the Chouzu-ya.
Chouzu-ya is an area within the precinct of a Shinto shrine or Buddhist temple at which worshippers wash their hands and mouths.
There is Yakushi-nyorai (buddha able to cure all ills) so let’s pray.
1-3.While watching the azalea, worship Kannona
You will climb the way of worshiping to the Kannon.
There is a shrine along the way.
Over the azalea, Kannon will show up.
There are benches around the road.
While watching the wonderful scenery, you can drink tea or eat lunch.
The shop is not on the road to visit.
We recommend that you prepare drinks and food beforehand.
I bought “bamboo rice” from a mobile seller who was next to the main gate.
Bamboo shoots harvested in the morning of the day.
Then I sat on the bench and ate it.
I came to Kannon’s feet.
Looking at the picture, You do not feel so big, but looking at the side is huge.
You can see the cityscape of Ome city.
1-4.Take a walk in the azalea ♪
Azalea and Kannon(* ̄ー ̄*)
You can stroll between the azalea and azalea.
The inverted Kannon and azaleas reflected in the pond.
Kannon over the azalea
Goma-do.
Although it is the biggest building, it is strange that it is not a cultural property.
There are plenty of places to see other than the azalea?
I noticed that there are many “autumn leaves” walking along the way to the Kannon.
Shiofune Kannon-ji Temple is famous for “azalea” and “hydrangea”, but maybe you can visit the season of autumn leaves.
