“Fuji-duka(Mt. Fuji Miniature)” was mainly made in the Edo era.
It is said that when you climb Fuji-duka, you get the same benefit as you really climb Mt. Fuji!!
If you want to climb TRUE Mt.Fuji, but you don’t have time,I recommend that you climb Fuji-duka.
1.Visit Yasaka Shrine
2.I climbed Fujiduka(Mt. Fuji Miniature) of Nakazato
3.Access to Fujimuka in Nakazato
1. Visit Yasaka Shrine
I walked about 8 minutes watching Google map from the “Doshida 2 chome” bus stop, I saw the approach of Yasaka Shrine.
Next to Yasaka Shrine, there is Nakazato’s Fuji-duka.
What are these stones in front of the torii?
As I walked on the approach road, there was another torii.
As you climb this staircase, there is the main shrine.
The creatures that are in the position of ‘Komainu(Guardian dog)’ are not Guardian dogs, they are not likely to be foxes either.
What on earth are they?
2.I climbed Fuji-duka(Mt. Fuji Miniature) of Nakazato
There is “Fuji-duka of Nakazato” on the right side of Yasaka Shrine.
This is “side entrance”, but there was a windward stone monument.
The character “雲切神(clouds cutting god? maybe…)” and carved like a flow cloud are decorated.
Was the “wind hole” imitated too?
There is a Torii of “Fuji-Sengen Shrine”, so it is supposed to be main approach from here.
“First step(壱合目)”. Fuji-duka whose ruling stone ranges from 1 to 9 is unusual.
The stone at the 4th step(四合目) is buried in the soil by about half.
I came to the top of “Fuji-duka of Nakazato”.
I saw the approach from the top.
It looked like a small hill, and I could look over the residential area.
If you are very lucky (if the weather is nice and the air is clear) you may be able to view Mt. Fuji.
